Canadians want heavy AI regulation but doubt it'll ever happen
An Angus Reid poll finds 68% of Canadians favor strict AI regulation, even if it slows development down. Yet 74% doubt any government can keep pace with the technology. That paradox pretty much sums up the mood everywhere else too: everyone wants rules, nobody believes they'll arrive in time.
