Researchers teach robots to outpace their own trainers
Until now, a robot trained by imitation would just mirror the human demo's pace, never faster. SAIL, Georgia Tech's new framework, lets robots speed up on their own past the demonstration without losing accuracy or safety. That's a real shift for factory-floor economics: same learned motion, but at industrial cadence.
